Traditional Greek Dishes

The Signature Pelion Salad

Featuring our hand-picked Tsitsiravla
Our version of the Greek salad, elevated with the treasures of Damouchari. Crisp cucumbers, sun-ripened tomatoes and creamy local feta, topped with Tsitsiravla – wild pickled sprouts hand-gathered from the slopes of Pelion. Drizzled generously with our family’s cold-pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Aikaterini’s Traditional Moussaka (Since 1982)

A taste of our family history
The dish that started it all. Following our mother’s original 1982 recipe, this Moussaka is a labor of love. Layers of farm-fresh eggplants, potatoes and perfectly seasoned ground beef, topped with a velvety, hand-whisked béchamel sauce. Slow-baked until golden, just like Aikaterini has been making it for over four decades.

Spetsofai: The Soul of Pelion

Iconic, rustic, and bold
A legendary local dish that every visitor must try. We use traditional handmade sausages from Pelion and sauté them with sweet mountain peppers and a rich, spicy tomato sauce. Simple, rustic, and bursting with the authentic flavors of our mountain heritage. Best enjoyed with a slice of our crusty, wood-fired bread.

Catch of the Day (Sea-to-Table)

Straight from the Damouchari harbor
From the local fisherman’s net to your plate in just a few hours. We select only the freshest fish from the Aegean Sea, grilled simply over open flames to preserve its delicate flavor. Finished with a classic lemon-oil dressing made from our own olive groves and a pinch of hand-harvested sea salt.

Aikaterini’s Handmade “Spoon Sweets”

The quintessential Pelion treat
In Pelion, we welcome every guest with a ‘spoon sweet’. This ancient tradition of preserving seasonal fruits in syrup is mastered by Aikaterini. Depending on the season, enjoy our handmade preserves: from the famous Firiki apple and wild cherries to chestnuts and baby walnuts. It’s a concentrated burst of Pelion’s sunshine in a single spoonful.

Traditional Walnut Pie (Karidopita)

A rustic family favorite
A dark, moist, and deeply spiced cake made with local walnuts and infused with aromatic cinnamon and cloves. Soaked in a light honey syrup, we serve it exactrly how we like it at home: with a generous scoop of cool vanilla ice cream to balance the warmth of the spices.

Authentic Greek Yogurt with Forest Honey

Simple, pure, and timeless
The ultimate Mediterranean dessert. Thick, velvety Greek yogurt topped with raw, organic honey sourced from the chestnut and wildflower forests of Mount Pelion. Finished with a sprinkle of toasted walnuts for that perfect crunch.

Galaktoboureko (Semolina Custard Pie)

A crispy, creamy classic
Our mother’s pride. Layers of crispy, buttery phyllo pastry filled with a rich, hand-whisked semolina custard. Serve warm and drizzled with a citrus-infused syrup. It’s the comfort food of Greek childhood, served right by the sea.
